Balanced Nature

Our commitment to a nature positive future

Nature plays a crucial role in supplying food for people, yet it is deteriorating globally.

At Rovensa, we recognize the important role that nature has in producing healthy, sustainable food, and the role that we have, as an agricultural products provider, to act in favor of nature.

Our goal is to mitigate biodiversity loss and promote a balanced approach to agriculture, by investing in innovative biological agricultural products, enhance the efficient use of water, land, nutrients, and other natural resources, while also improving soil health.

We want to contribute to address the triple challenge that humanity faces over the next years: meeting the dietary and other needs of 10 billion people, keeping global temperature rise below 1.5ºC, and reversing biodiversity loss.

Act4nature

To continuously improve our business operations with a focus on biodiversity, we voluntarily became a signatory member of Act4nature Portugal. This initiative by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (BCSD) Portugal aims to assist companies in protecting, promoting, and restoring biodiversity throughout their value chains.

As part of this initiative, we publicly announced our individual commitments to nature, which were reviewed and validated by a steering committee of BCSD Portugal. These commitments are embodied in specific, time-bound actions that span our entire value chain—from upstream processes to direct operations and downstream activities. Our goal is to foster a holistic, value-chain approach to nature conservation

Setting Science-based Targets for Nature (SBTN)

Our commitment is to contribute to a nature positive future with outcomes to help halt and reverse nature loss by 2030. We aim to contribute to this shared goal by adopting actions across our entire global operations: our upstream, direct and downstream activities including the use-phase of our products.

To accelerate our efforts and foster positive change, mitigating and reversing our business impact on nature, we have joined the Science Based Targets Network Corporate Engagement to guide us in setting science-based targets for nature.
